National Education is based on the principles of equal conditions for access and permanence in school; the freedom to learn, teach, research and disseminate culture, thought, art and knowledge; guaranteeing quality standards; free public education, among others, as provided in art. 3rd of Law 9,394 of December 20, 1996, which establishes the Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB) as well as article 206 of the Brazilian Federal Constitution (BRASIL, 1988; BRASIL, 1996). The proposal for a Specialization Course in Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE), presented here, is in line with the current proposal for inclusive education, which has been guaranteed since the Federal Constitution of 1988, art.208, in which students are assured the “ specialized educational assistance for people with disabilities, preferably in the regular education network”, a reality ratified by the Brazilian Education Guidelines and Bases Law, which reaffirms the right to education, guaranteed by the Federal Constitution (BRASIL, 1988). Although schools are implementing purposeful and inclusive legislation, these proposals, in themselves, do not guarantee the viability of accessibility projects, changes in pedagogical practices and the implementation of supports that promote inclusion, in this sense, realizing the urgency in qualifying professionals that can contribute to the process of inclusion and transformation of knowledge, practices and actions of school education, proposing to build the conditions for inclusion of target audience students in special education (PAEE), who are those with disabilities, global disorders development and with high abilities/giftedness. In this sense, the AEE aims to promote educational services that go beyond the school curricula, and which are necessary to overcome the barriers that limit access to knowledge. Using different theoretical-methodological strategies from those normally used in school routines, prioritizing playful activities, games and creative play during teaching moments. Therefore, this course aims to enable the training of professionals qualified to develop knowledge of the complex psychic chain, attentive to the possibilities of observing creative, interactive, imaginative and corporeal-cenesthetic thinking, considering multiple intelligences.
